Drive about 20 minutes to the east of Arles and the plain slowly gives way to a range of spectacular white limestone hills – les Alpilles. Alpilles property is at its most chic and sought after in the tiny Golden Triangle of St Remy de Provence, Eygalieres and Maussane les Alpilles. The area on the south side of the Alpilles is characterized by olive groves and vineyards and is very popular with second home buyers.
