The best value Clermont Ferrand property is found in the suburbs and there is year round interest in rentals thanks to the number of major employers in town. Puy de Dôme property attracts all year round rentals due to the proximity to the Mont-Dore and Super Besse ski resorts and to spa towns like La Bourbole. The dormant volcano after which the department is named now has a restaurant at the summit!

In the north of the region, Allier property can still be snapped up at bargain prices, but for how much longer? This ‘land of 1,001 chateaux’ is a historic treasure and previously home to the Bourbon dukes.
